10 ways you can turn your phone into a force for good for free!

Now I'm sure a lot of you are probably very sceptical about this, but I'm going to show you how you could turn things you might already be doing into a force for good- at no additional cost to you! Many of these involve slight tweaks to your mobile phone behaviours that, once integrated into your daily life, can turn your phone into a fountain of good!  1-   Unicef Tap Project The Unicef Tap Project is a water aid project in which, for every 10 minutes that you have your phone flat on a surface with this webpage  open on your phone, the sponsor organisation will make a donation to give someone clean water for 1 day who needs it (currently Giorgio Armani), along with a pledge from Unicef to fundraise a day's worth of clean water for every minute that someone goes without picking up their phone . A Moment of Clarity for Solar Power

There's something about solar energy that I just find fascinating. Maybe it's the because it could be our saviour and the key to practically endless free energy, or it could be that it's the mission to mimic one of life's most complex and fundamental biological processes (photosynthesis). Then we got to talking about how cool it would be if we could have transparent solar cells, so you could replace your windows with "solar w

Building upon TEDxUoN

First, thank you to everyone who took the time to look at some of my other posts whilst reading about the awesome  TEDxUoN Breaking Boundaries  event last weekend! I'd love to keep up this great run of awesome things to talk about, but w ith exams and dissertation deadlines looming, I'm anticipating being fairly busy in the next few months! So I thought I'd take this opportunity to do something I had always been meaning to, transfer my posts from  my old blog !  I should put up a disclaimer that this was at the start of university, when I was much more focussed on fitness. Since then, a lot of things have gotten in the way, especially as my degree has gotten a lot harder since first year (unsurprisingly). I don't necessarily stick to all of these tips, but that doesn't mean it isn't still good advice. I like to think that my advice will help you to create sustainable healthy habits that will lead to long term health and hopefully a more enriched life experienc
